Inception!!!!

I started cooking when I was in school....did not love it at that time since my mom was kind of a taskmaster when it came to working in the kitchen. I really do not remember when this turned into a passion...but here it is. 

For Bengalis or people who are from West Bengal who would understand, I am a pure "Ghoti". My hubby, on the other hand,is a pure "Bangal" or actually almost pro-Bangladesh since he was born there, studied there and we have almost all my extended in-law family living at Chittagong or Dhaka. Not only was it a cultural and linguistic transformation of the extreme kind, the food...oh the food was everything opposite to everything I had in my previous Ghoti life...and sooooooooo delicious. My hubby introduced me to shutki or dried fish when we were working together in Houston way back before our marriage. And then the rest followed. It makes me wonder why I hadn't started a blog yet...there's so much to share...so much yummy Chittagong recipes to write about...and then also my lovely Ghoti recipes which I picked up from my Mom, my grandmothers and aunts.

So voila...here I am...with a brand new blog...just dig in all of you!!!
